Founded in April 2023 by former executives of United Capital – Mike Capelle, Gary Roth, and Jason Gordo. United Capital was established in 2005 and grew to $25 billion in assets with 28,000 clients, 70 offices, and around 720 employees. United Capital sold to Goldman Sachs in 2019 for $750 million. The Modern Wealth Management Executive & Management Team has completed over 200 RIA transactions.

Modern Wealth Management has completed nine acquisitions since April 2023, with four more anticipated to close in 2024. Currently the firm has 136 employees, 11 partner office locations, and manages over $6B in client AUM.
